NEW NAME!

Ian has now formally merged Providence with Noble Accountancy Limited. The new firm is Noble Accountancy Limited trading as Providence. Noble Accountancy Limited is an established Chartered Accountancy practice registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and is a member of the ICAEW Practice Assurance Scheme. Ian is delighted to introduce you to Liz Noble, our Technical Director. Liz is a Chartered Accountant and Business Finance Professional having worked in practice for over 25 years, advising business and property owners. She provides consultancy services to other accounting and bookkeeping practices, has lectured in tax and accountancy at Guildford College and more recently at the University of West London.

As a result of our growth, we are now registered for VAT and we are endeavouring to soften the impact to you by offering goodwill discounts this year.

NEW SECURE PROVIDENCE PORTAL- IRIS OPENSPACE

To protect your data and to ease compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, we are rolling out the “Providence Portal”. We’ve had really good feedback from clients that have started using this. The Portal is a secure, cloud-based area where we can upload documents to you for signing and approval and you can upload documents to us. To set up your portal we will send you an invitation from noreply@irisopenspace.co.uk. Simply click on the link when you receive it and set up your own password. When we upload documents to you, you will receive an email. Click on the email and you will be able to see the files we have uploaded to you. Click on the blue button to the side of the document- if it shows a request you will be asked to either e-sign or e-approve the document. When done, we will get an email to let us know and can action the document for you.

The merger means that we need to obtain your approval for the new Providence to liaise with HM Revenue and Customs re tax matters. We will be asking you to sign a form 64-8 Authorising your Agent to allow HMRC to transfer the management of your tax affairs to our new Agent Gateway. HMRC will not transfer your records without this.

We will also be issuing comprehensive letters of engagement for our services to comply with ICAEW best practice guidelines. We apologise in advance for the length of these documents. We have done our best to distill the ICAEW template down from 131 pages!

NEW ADDRESS!

As a result of the merger we have now moved our base to Weybridge, Surrey, 25km from Central London.  (28 mins by train to Weybridge , 44 mins to Addlestone).

We will be moving our clients from Providence House and 27 Old Gloucester Street to our new location, 500 Bourne Business Park, 5 Dashwood Lang Road, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 2HJ. To do this we will need you to authorize the change by signing a form AD01. This will be uploaded into the Providence Portal and you will receive an email to let you know when the document is there for your approval. You will then need to change your address with any councils or utility providers or any other suppliers using the old address. You can of course make the change yourself online at Companies House.

NEW SERVICES!

We are very proud to have achieved Xero Certification and are now Xero Bronze Partners. Xero is a global bookkeeping software provider and our Bronze status allows us to offer our clients bookkeeping solutions that are not available on the Xero website and to offer discounts on the solutions available. With the upcoming changes with Making Tax Digital it is becoming more important that businesses use accredited bookkeeping software and we have solutions available from as little as £6 per month.
